Page & Palette will release a signed limited commemorative edition of Fannie Flagg's first novel, Coming Attractions, Sunday, September 28, 2026. Priced at $100, the special edition will be available exclusively through Page & Palette while supplies last. The edition honors a relationship that began in 1981, when Page & Palette hosted the first book signing for Flagg's first novel.
Betty Joe Wolff drove to the airport with her granddaughters, seventh-grade twins Karin and Kelley Wolff, to welcome the young first-time novelist to Fairhope. That day began a 45-year friendship between Flagg, the bookstore and four generations of the
Wolff and Wilson family.
Coming Attractions was later published as Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man. Flagg went on to become one of America's most beloved storytellers and returned to Page & Palette with each new book to begin her national tours. Her friendship with Betty Joe became especially close. After Karin Wilson purchased the bookstore from her grandmother in 1997, her own relationship with Flagg deepened into family.
Created for Page &Palette's 60th anniversary, the new edition features a custom commemorative case, special endpapers, archival photographs and Coming Home, a personal reflection by Wilson about the first signing and the friendship that followed.
