Join us on Grandparents’ Day on Sunday, September 13th at Page & Palette and meet our special author, Angie Jackson, with her children’s book Gramp’s Crane, between 1-3PM.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Inspired by a true story, this picture book tells of a special crane that visits Gramps’ each day and continues to appear after his passing, offering comfort and connection to those he loved. A story about presence, memory, and the quiet ways love stays.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Angie Jackson spent her career in healthcare ethics and compliance and social work. During that time, she volunteered with kids at different times reading them stories. She also likes to tell stories to her great-niences and -nephews. Angie and her dog, Harvey, completed training to become a therapy dog team. Both she and Harvey volunteered with DOG-HARMONY, as part of BARK FOR BOOKS at their local library. Bark for Books is a unique literacy program that pairs children with trained therapy dogs to encourage and support reading development.
