Raymond Signs

In the heart of the Appalachian forest, a magazine filled with mountain critters sparks a grand adventure for young Frank and Virgie Ann. Their journey leads them to the doorstep of Raymond, a kind, deaf neighbor with a twinkle in his eye and a world of wisdom in his hands. Through the "story within a story" of Raymond Signs, Raymond becomes a modern day, mountain dwelling "Ms. Frizzle." As he guides the children through the pages of the magazine, he reveals the American Sign Language sign for every creature, from the smallest bunny to the legendary Bigfoot. This isn't just a book; it’s a bridge of communication. Invented by the imaginative minds of Jimmy Byrge and Patricia Riley, Raymond Signs invites families of all ages from 1 to 100 to embrace ASL as a second language and find the magic in every gesture.
