Sparks is a national sweetheart—a good-looking family man who writes heart-tugging novels that rarely fail to elicit tears. His popularity as one of the world’s most beloved storytellers continues to soar and his followers in the Gulf Coast area will have the fortunate opportunity to meet the author of the wildly popular, The Notebook, on his return trip to the region.

Page & Palette Bookstore is honored to present:

Nicholas Sparks Live!

Thursday, October 9th

6:30-8:30 p.m.

Saenger Theatre, 6 South Joachim Street, Mobile, AL

The release of The Lucky One follows the September 23rd debut of the Warner Bros. film Nights in Rodanthe, based on one of Sparks’ earlier novels, starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane. Sparks latest book is a story of luck and destiny and the part they play when a man’s brush with death leads him to the love of his life.

The story begins when U. S. Marine Logan Thibault finds a photograph of an attractive young woman half buried in the dirt during his third tour of duty in Iraq. His first inclination is to toss it. Instead he brings it back to the base for someone to claim, when no one does, he finds himself always carrying the photo in his pocket. It’s not until after a sudden streak of good luck that Logan accepts his best friend Victor’s explanation that his good fortune is due to the photo—his lucky charm. The chain of events that leads Logan to finding the woman pictured tells a love story that only a master such as Sparks can write.

Sparks, along with J.K. Rowling (of Harry Potter fame), are the only contemporary authors to have a novel spend more than a year on both the New York Times hardcover and paperback bestseller lists. He is the author of 14 New York Times bestsellers, including Three Weeks with My Brother, the memoir he wrote with his brother, Micah. Several of his novels have been adapted into major motion pictures, including The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, and Message in a Bottle as well as the forthcoming Nights in Rodanthe.

To purchase tickets or for more information, contact Page & Palette at (251) 928-5295. Due to the popularity of Nicholas Sparks, this event is expected to be a sellout. Sparks will exclusively sign all books purchased from Page & Palette following the speaking event.
